John was a member of the Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain
John Geary, son of Irish parents James and Susan (Londergan) Geary, was born in St Marylebone on 15 Sep 1849. His father died on 26 Sep 1850. In 1851, he was living with his widowed mother Susan and his siblings at Conway Court in Marylebone.[1]
In 1861, John and his brother James were students at St Marylebone Parochial Schools in Precinct of Norwood, Uxbridge, Middlesex.[2] In 1881, he was a Professor of Music, living on Clapham Street in Lambeth, Surrey with the Weatherby family.[3]
John became a member of the The Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain on the 2 June 1889 as confirmed in the Society's book, “Members of The Royal Society of Musicians 1738-1984” on Page 57

In 1901, he was living with Charles Stares in Lambeth.[6] In 1911, he was living in New Malden, Surrey with his older sister Annie and he was an orchestral musician.[7]
John died in New Malden, Surrey on 09 Jul 1926. Hid death was registered in the September quarter of 1926 in the Kingston Registration District.[8] His estate was granted probate on 15 Sep 1926 in London.[9]

Research Notes
John's father James died on 26 Sep 1850 after receiving a beating by the police in August which he never recovered from.[10] This can be removed once a profile for James has been created.
