Ida Jane Geary was born about 1864 in South Norwich, Oxford, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of Charles Geary and Persis Hamilton.
In 1871, Ida (aged 1) lived in South Norwich, Oxford, Canada West, with her parents: Charles (aged 38), Farm Labourer, and Percis E. (aged 35), and her siblings: Albert (aged 14), Melbourn (aged 9), Almina (aged 4), and George (aged 2).[1]
In 1881, Ida Jane (aged 17) lived in South Norwich, Oxford, Canada West, with her parents: Charles (aged 45), Farmer, and Percis E. (aged 44), and her siblings: Albert (aged 24), Melbourn (aged 19), Minnie [Almina] (aged 14), George (aged 12), Emma (aged 7), and Edith (aged 5).[2]
Ida (aged 23) married Charles Pettinger (aged 31) in Otterville, Oxford, Ontario, Canada, on 11 April 1887.[3]
Ida (aged 23) passed away 20 April 1887, after being married for nine days.[4] She was buried in Rosanna Cemetery in Rock's Mills, Oxford, Ontario, Canada.[5]
