the Drusilla James note below was posted by Margaret Finch Locke. Driusilla is my three times great grandmother. I descend from Elizabeth Claycomb also through her son William Finch's first marriage to Aurora (Blanchard)
Have you explored Drusilla James father as being John James born 4 Mar 1762 in Frederick MD. Died 27 Mar 1838 Rising Sun MD. John's father is Daniel James b. 9 Jun 1734 Prince George's Co MD, d 9 March 1782 Frederick Co MD. In Daniel James' will he left property to his granddaughter Drusilla James (daughter of John). I cannot find Drusilla listed as one of John's children but the will of Daniel suggested she was and there was some friction going on in the family and some members boycotted the hearing where the will was read. I can email a copy of his will if you like. Hope I can find it. Correspondence over many years strongly suggest this is her family.
I just did some really hair pin turns in the Owen tree. If this Kezia wasn't sourced, it may mean I put her in by hand, so not to loose her. I can't upload my Ged-com as it's too large and goes back too far without deleting. So please, do put what you removed back with a not that it needs to be sourced. There were feuds and other conditions that make this difficult, so you really have to double check. And don't use find a grave as a source, just a clue. I think there may have been a marriage record I found on this. It's not my direct line (YET) so if it's something your family insists on I'll live with it.
Suzanne; I hope that you are right, but I believe the Keziah Owens was there right wife of Thomas Penick. I seldom put up info that I haven't found evidence to substantiate, but I must admit, sometimes the proof doesn't upload and I am extremely busy at working to get the information I have been working on at Ancestry for up to Wiki tree. I have years (over 5 this time out) and over 20 into this research. But I could of also grabbed and ran. I would ask that you please put in the bio, that she may have possibly been the spouse of. There are a lot of Owen marrying Owens and getting the right one is tough at times. So if we revisit it, it would be nice to have the bit of info on her bio rather than trow it out with the bath water.
