Biography

Vito was born in 1852 to Francesco Gagliano, a farmer, and Rosa Barbera ^[1]. In 1876 at age 24 ^[2], he married 24-year-old Audenzia Calandra ^[3].

Vito was named for his paternal grandfather, Vito Gagliano.
