Biography

Angela was born in 1847 to Francesco Gagliano, a farmer, and Rosa Barbera ^[1]. In 1871 at age 23, she married 32-year-old widower, Leonardo Pendola of Sambuca ^[2]. Per their marriage record, Leonardo was a farmer.

Angela was named for her maternal grandmother, Angela Valenti.
