Biography

Giovanni was born about 1821-1831 ^[1], a son of a Domenico Gagliano ^[2]. He married Calogera Barbera ^[3] and they had several children. Giovanni was a mule team driver by occupation ^[4]. Birth record for son Antonino indicates that Giovanni was a peasant, probably a farmer.

Possible match with Giovanni Gagliano-400 whose wife was Anna Barbera. This other Giovanni had a mother named Antonina. Ages are off by 9 years.
