Witnesses for the groom: Anne and Angélique Boucher, sisters, Jean-Baptiste Richard, brother-in-law married to Angélique Boucher, Madeleine Pellerier, niece. Witnesses for the bride: her father and mother, René and François Fortin, brothers, Louis Lemieux, brother-in-law married to Louise Fortin, Pierre Morin, brother-in-law married to Reine Fortin, Pierre Fortin, uncle, Jean Fortin, uncle, Pierre and Jean Richard, uncles, Louis Gagné, cousin (11 October 1745). Madeleine Salomée Fortin, widow of Joseph Boucher and of the age of fifty-seven years, died 29 Aug 1780 and was buried the following day in the cemetery of Notre-Dame-de-Liesse, Rivière-Ouelle, Province de Québec. Present at the burial were Jean Augustin Dubé and Louis Dubé. [2]

No baptismal record found. Birth year estimated from burial record which stated Madeleine Salomée Fortin was fifty-seven years of age in 1780. Her known siblings were born in Cap-St-Ignace.
Removed birth date of 14 Aug 1710. Date predates parents’ marriage date (31 Jan 1719); is inconsistent with burial information.
