Biography

Louis Fobert was born on 26 Oct 1819 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Joachim parish in Châteauguay, Bas-Canada. He was the son of Antoine Faubert, farmer, and his wife Marie Gendron. Godparents at Louis' baptism were Louis Dugas and Agathe Fobert. At age 25 Louis married Adélaïde Lepage on 11 Nov 1844 in Saint-Joachim parish in Châteauguay. There were at least 6 known children born into this marriage. Louis died at age 80 on 3 Feb 1900 in Châteauguay; he was buried three days later on 6 Feb in Saint-Joachim parish cemetery.
