Caroline (Fink) Vester was born in Grossbottwar, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Caroline was born in 1826. She is the daughter of Gottfried Fink and Maria Traub. ^[1]

Caroline married Carl Vester in 1849 in Grossbottwar when she was aged 22. ^[2]

Caroline and Carl had five children together. The three surviving boys all immigrated to America between 1879-1882.

1. Conrad Christian (1851-1920) married, had 2 children then immigrated to America in 1881, before having another 3 children, ultimately settling in Arkansas.
2. Carolina Frederika (1853-1868) died age 15
3. Carl Friederich (1855- ?) immigrated to America in 1879
4. Christian Friederich (1857-1917) immigrated to America in 1882, married and had two children, settling in Indiana
5. Jakob Adam (1859-1859) was born 3 months before his mother died, and died a month after his mother.

Caroline died, age 32 in 1859. The cause of death was written as Nervenfieber, which translates to Typhus. She was buried in Grossbottwar. ^[3]
