WARE NECK - A funeral service was held Jan. 8 in Newtonville, Mass., for Sherman Evans, formerly of Ware Neck, who died in the Veterans Hospital in Boston after a long illness.
Mrs.[sic] Evans attended Hampton Institute and served in France in World War I.
His survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Nash and Miss Mary H. Evans of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Martha Cooper and Miss Grace Evans, both of Ware Neck; and three brothers, Abraham Evans and Clifton Evans of Hampton, and Eugene Evans of Ware Neck.[3]
