Memories: 1
Enter a personal reminiscence or story.
Wilber back in the early 1900's patented a machine to make barbed wire. He actually traveled to Moscow to get support for his invention.

My wife remembers that when she was a young girl Wilber came to live with them. Her father built a bedroom onto the back of their house for him. He lived with them until he died. He always seemed to her to be a very austere man and someone she never warmed up to.

She remembers one Easter being able to see a pogo-stick that the Easter Bunny had brought her was left under his bed but she wasn't allowed to go and get it until he woke up, which for a child was eternity!
