Biography

Placed I've lived: Severn, MD; Columbia, MD; Harrogate, England; Schauren, Germany; Northern Virginia

A graduate of London Central High School, during the years when it was located on Daws Hill RAF Station, High Wycombe. Attended college at overseas UMD site and NOVA Community College.

Played music in various settings/bands in English pubs, German festivals, NCO clubs, and bars, lodges, dance clubs and festivals throughout MD & VA.

My father has been researching our family lines for over a decade. His interest peaked mine, I've joined in his efforts as well as my children's father's lines, my ex-husbands', and a few friends.

A brick wall I've yet to solve is my children's father's paternal line. I cannot confirm ancestors beyond their gr-grandfather. Very few matching DNA results for the 1x1removed cousin who has DNA tested. Son's YDNA returns mostly Walker matches. I suspect his direct line is a more recent arrival to North America (Michigan), with MRCAs being in the UK sometime in the 1500/1600s.

Hi Pam,

My great grandfather married a Walker. Her family was from Leeds England. My GedMatch number is CP5937440 and my fathers number is GU4553117 if your children match I might be able to help.

Theresa Stewart

Thank you, Theresa. Tried both children; neither are a match. :(

bummer :(

It's always worth the try. Good luck to you with this journey. Theresa

We are a full match per gedmatch, just about seven or eight generations away.

My Superkit is TN491427c1. It is my Ancestry kit combined with my 23&me kit. You are showing as cousins to two of my Hicks cousins on Ancestry. Nice to meet you.

Hello Pam, I found your profile on Cora Ballenger who was my Great Paternal Grandmother. It is great to see someone else following this line since my grandmother never talked about her family much and I haven't gotten back up to Northern Virginia in a while.

Again thanks to you our Family has different ideas on my Paternal Grandmother Cordelia's full name. Was it Cordelia Shannon or Shannon Cordelia? She went by Cordelia, but wished they'd called her Shannon. We discussed this one day when I told her if I'd have had a daughter I wanted to name her Shannon (I never had children due to Medical Complications). Will confirm after visit to cemetery.

Our entire Family thought my Paternal Grandfather's middle name was Tillman. After seeing your tree with "Temmon" listed I began to research & found others who verified "Temmon". Our family's reaction was WHO KNEW! thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I'm planning a visit to Our Family Cemetary to photograph his Tombstone in the near future & will share.

Hello, just a word (late) to congratulate you on the contributions you made during the month of November. Whatever the quantity, they are all important.

Your work is appreciated. Thanks Guy Constantineau

Yes, Pam, I object to the spelling of the surname, I cannot approve any merge from Scarborough to Scarburgh.

Regarding your question about AIS on the Donelson page:

All I can figure is that the pedigree chart is based on or has data taken from AIS.

Accelerated Indexing Systems (AIS) was a commercial company that indexed genealogical records. The microfiche version of the AIS U.S. Census indexes was published in 1984. It is distributed by the Family History Library, with the permission of AIS, for use in family history centers. The information on these microfiche indexes is now available on the Internet at Ancestry.com. More info on AIS at:

Researching all lines of my husband's, my ex's (for our children), and my own families. Fascinated learning their history, imagine what our ancestors lived through, to sometimes see patterns of behavior emerge through the generations. Exploring beyond direct lines as it often reveals connections that provide the larger story of our shared history. Excited to find WikiTree and its one-tree mission.
