Here is my family tree.
I was bitten by the genealogy bug when I inherited some books written by my Quaker ancestors from my Aunt Sheila. That was 15 years ago and I did some research then, recording it all in PAF. When I retired I fancied picking it up again, but thought there might be something better than PAF to use. I found WikiTree! Ticks all my boxes - open-source, crowd-sourced, citizen science (well, research). I haven't joined any projects yet but plan to do so in 2023. It's great to be here!

Nick Eades has completed the England Project's Post 1700 Orphan Trail I.
Born in Chester, Cheshire on 25th February 1962 to parents Robert Michael Eades (1934-2004) and Patricia (Wardle) Eades[1].
Married Jenny (Fox) Eades on 24th August 1985 in Northolt, Middlesex[2].

The England Project Leaders like to touch base with each of our members periodically to make sure everything is going well. This is our formal annual check-in and we are interested in your perspective as a Trailer, whether you are still waiting to be buddied up with a Trailblazer, on the road to completing the Orphan Trail, or taking a short break.
We would be interested to hear whether you're finding the explanations and guidance in the Orphan Trail pages useful. No more than a couple of sentences would be enough. We are always looking to improve and feedback plays an important part.

Thanks for touching base. I continue to be impressed by how well WikiTree is organised given it is all run by volunteers! I have just about finished my first orphan profile. Susie Potter-10870 has been very helpful. I have learned a number of useful things around best practice, e.g. citation formatting. I have found some useful info in the England project pages, but its always difficult to know if you have missed something when there's so much. But it's good fun and I look forward to finishing the Trail whenever that is - the summer will delay things I expect. All the best, Nick
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
Thank you for adding a GEDCOM. The GEDCOM does not automatically populate your tree it generates a GEDCOMpare report which you work through either accepting or rejecting suggested matches, once that has been done, you add any remaining names manually.
The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently.
