Biography

Marie Louise Marcelline was born on 2 August 1868 and baptised the same day in Notre-Dame de Montreal. She is the daughter of Joseph Dubreuil and Marie Angélique Dubois(see notes). The godparents, Jean Baptiste Ethier and Marie Louise Archambault, undersign with the father.^[1]

Marie Louise Dubreuil, wife of Charles Storey of St-Dominic parish, passed away on 15 April 1940 (at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 6 days - see notes). She was burried the 18 at Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal. Witnessed by Charles Storey and Edward Joseph Storey who signed.^[3]

In the 1911 census Louise (age 40) was the wife of Chaleles Storey at 246Blvd StJoseph, Quebec. Birthdate Aug 1871.^[5]

In the 1921 census Louise (age 50) was the wife of Charles Story at 85 1412 Delorinier, Hochelaga, 1412 Delorinier, Quebec, Canada. Birthdate abt 1871.^[6]

In the 1931 census Marie (age 60), Homemaker, was the wife of Charles Story in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Birthdate abt 1871.^[7]

Research Notes

The name of her mother

Upon baptism, the name of her mother is Marie Angélique Dubois but at her marriage the name is Mary Woods (du bois translates to of the wood). Is this the same person ?

According to her death record she would be born on 1870-2-9 (at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 6 days)

This is probably an inversion of her actual birthdate of 1868-8-2 which would be an amazing coincidence.

This is backed by the 1901 census.

Conclusion

The marriage and death records showing the same spouse Charles Storey and the birth and death records showing almost the same birthdate.

Marie Angélique Dubois and Mary Woods are probably the same person.
