Biography

Alfred was born on October 22, 1901, in York, Maine, son of Narcisse Dubreuil and Adele (Caron) Dubreuil, the fifth child of his parent's marriage.[1][2] After the death of his mother, he moved with his father and siblings to Dunbarton, New Hampshire. [3]

He served in the United States Army during World War I. He was a member of the Jutras post of American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and also a member of Local 195 of the International Theater & Stage Employees Union. [2]

He lived the majority of his life in Manchester, New Hampshire, living there for almost 45 years. [4]

He married Ludivine Pratte on April 17, 1922, in Manchester, New Hampshire[5], with whom he had several children:

  1. Maurice A. Dubreuil
  2. Romeo Dubreuil
  3. Francis Dubreuil
  4. Lillian Dubreuil, wife of Leo Rheaume
  5. Rita Dubreuil, who married Mr Szomodi

He passed away at home in February 3, 1966, and is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Manchester, New Hampshire. [6]

Research Notes

It is unclear if his father is the same Narcisse Dubreuil as the Narcisse that married Anne Tremblay in 1910 as his second marriage. A death record for his mother has not been found.
