Louis Dubreuil was born on 18 Oct 1788 in Île-Perrot, York, Lower Canada, son of Joseph Hubert Dubreuil and Françoise Denis. He was baptized the same day at Sainte-Jeanne-de-Chantal, Île-Perrot, Canada.[1]
He married Marie Rose Cholet at Saint-Michel-de-Vaudreuil on November 5, 1810. [2]
