Biography

Bernadin Després was born on 29 Nov 1852 and baptized on 20 Dec 1852 in Cocagne, New Brunswick, the son of François Xavier Després and Anne Melanson.[1][2] His godparents were François Bourque and Marie Blanche Després.

In the 1861 census Bilardian (age 8) was listed with his parents and siblings in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.[3]

In the 1871 census Benabee (age 16) was in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.[4]

Bernard married Virginie Goguen, daughter of Fabien Goguen and Isabelle Leblanc, on 4 Mar 1878 in Cocagne.[5]
