Elizabeth (Denson) Porter was a Virginia colonist.

Elizabeth was born circa 1725. Her father was John Denson, his wife was named in his will only as wife. Her siblings named in her father's 23 Oct 1756 will included:[1]

  • Joseph Denson
  • Benjamin Denson
  • Mary (Denson) Johnson
  • Hollowell Denson

Denson: 1743, 10, 1. Betty at liberty to marry John Porter.[2] She is named in her father, John Denson's 23 Oct 1756 Southampton County, Virginia will as Betty Porter, and her husband John Porter is named as an heir in the later (9 Oct 1766) settlement which was signed by her brother Bejamin Denson.[1]

Their children are named in her husband's 27 Jun 1796 Sampson County will.[3]

She is mentioned, along with her siblings in the Find A Grave: Memorial #64313640 for her father, John Denson Jr (ca. 1695, Isle of Wight, Virginia -1753, Southampton, Virginia), as having married John Porter in 1743. Her mother is described as Alice Hollowell (ca. 1695-1766), who is named on a memorial at the Eastern State Hospital Cemetery, Williamsburg, Virginia: Find A Grave: Memorial #8001457, but this is an unconfirmed match.
