Biography

Marie Claire was born on 29 September 1798, and was baptized the following day in Rimouski. She was the daughter of Jean Dechamplain and Thérèse du Tremble.[1][2] She married Ulfranc Lepage on 16 June 1818 at Notre-Dame de Québec.[3] Later widowed, she married Amateur Marceau on 28 October 1821 in Rimouski.[4] She died on 18 December 1871 in Mission des Méchants, and was buried four days later in Cap-Chat.[5]
