I wanted to suggest that you edit your tag(s) to show any surnames and locations you are researching. When you list a surname, location or historical event in your tags, you can then click them and see a list of other WikiTree genealogists who are also researching those names, locations, etc.
You'll also get notifications in your daily & weekly emails when there is activity relevant to your tags.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour to help new members learn their way around. The first stop is How-To #1: How to Start Climbing Our Tree. The How-To's are intended to be visited about once a week, but feel free to work through them at your own pace.

Welcome to the WikiTree family!
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, which means that all members work together as a single collaborative team. The Honor Code helps keep everything functioning smoothly as we work on one BIG tree.
The initial email from us has links you can use to get started. When you confirm your email address, you'll have an option to volunteer to add information to WikiTree, beginning with tags for your own profile. Tags are surnames, locations, concepts, etc. that you'd like to track.
If you decide to volunteer, a greeter will confirm your membership, and you'll be able to add new profiles to the tree.
