Dorothy (Davies) Hoft was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)
Dorothy was born in 1899 in the gold rush Town of Ballarat, in the Central Highlands, 110 km (68 mi) northwest of the Capital City of Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria, Australia[1]. She is the daughter of Victor Thomas Davies and Alice Mary Morgan.
Dorothy married Cyril Louie Hoft at the Trinity Church, 72 St Georges Terrace, in the City of Perth, Western Australia on the 22 June 1925[2].

One was that of Mr. Cyril Hoft, of Adelaide, and Dorothy Marjorie Davies, of North Perth. Mr. Hoft was a member of the South Australian football team, and all his colleagues were present in the church at the wedding service wearing their bright sports blazers. The centre area of the church was filled, and this block of line looking young men made a particularly pleasing feature of the gathering....[6].
Dorothy passed away, at the age of 85, in Nedlands, City of Perth, Western Australia on the 28 May 1984[7]. Her cremation took place around the 30 May 1984 in the Karrakatta Cemetery and Crematorium, Railway Parade, Karrakatta, City of Perth, Western Australia, and her ashes scattered to the wind at the Cemetery[8].
