Ursule was born 23 Apr 1795 and baptized the same day in St-Basile de Madawaska. She was the daughter of Joseph Daigle and Théotiste Syr (sic). Godparents were jean Baptiste Daigle and Marie Syr, no signatures. [1]
On 13 Apr 1818, in St-Basile de Madawaska, Pierre Cormier widower of Marie Rose Souci married Marie Ursule D'Aigle minor daughter of Joseph D'Aigle and Marie Théotiste Cyr. Witnesses included the bride's father, one signature: the groom's friend Jan Baptiste Levasseur. This was a double wedding, the next entry is also the second marriage of Pierre Cormier's brother, Alexis Cormier, this time to Marie Rose Daigle, sister of Ursule Daigle. [2]
Dispensation was obtained for a 3rd to 4th degree of consanguinity. They were second cousins once removed.
Ursule Daigle, 70 year old widow of Pierre Cormier, died 23 Apr 1864. She was buried 2 days later in St-Basile de Madawaska Cemetery. [3][4]
