Giuseppa Crapisi is born and baptized 28 July 1805, the daughter of Pietro Crapisi and Anna Maria Sparacio. Her godparents are Antonio and Rosa Collura, a married couple.[1]
Giuseppa marries Luciano Mannina, son of Giuseppe Mannina and Angela Liggio, on 13 April 1823.[2] The same day, her brother, Leoluca, marries Giuseppa Mannina, Luciano's sister.[3]
Giuseppa and Luciano have at least seven children: two children named Giuseppe (c. 1825 and 1833), Maria Rosa (c. 1827), Giovanni (c. 1830), Angela (1836), and Pietro (1842).
In 1834, Luciano, 35 (b. 1799), Giuseppa, reportedly 25 (she is 29), and their children Maria Rosa, 7 (b. 1827), Giovanni, 4 (b. 1830), and Giuseppe, 1 (b. 1833) live near the piano del quartiero, not far from the college.[4]
Giuseppa's widowed brother, Carmelo, marries Bernarda Mannina, who is also a widow, on 2 July 1843.[5] Bernarda is another sister of Luciano's.
Maria Rosa marries Gaetano d'Antoni on 22 November 1846.[6]
Giovanni marries Anna Salemi (she is called "Maria" in other records) on 20 November 1853.[7]
