Biography

Elizabeth Cotching[1] (or Cutchins[2])was born about 1655.

1680, 8th month (Oct), 7th day: Henry, son of Thomas & Alice of Elizabeth River married at meeting appointed for the purpose in her mother's house, Elizabeth Cotching, daughter of Thomas, deceased of Chuckatuck.
After Hinshaw (1950, p. 30)[3][4]

She passed away before 1692.

It is incorrect to have her listed as having "Cotching Cutchins" as a maiden name. The nearest contemporary transcribed records of Monthly Meetings (Chuckatuck), as cited above, spelled it Cotching. Please move the alternate(s) of Cutchens to Other Names and update the maiden name to just Cotching.
