Thomas was the second son of George Corbin and Mary Faunt. He was born on 24 May 1594,[1][2] probably at Hall End, Warwickshire where his father's main property lay.[3][4]
Marriage and Children
Thomas married Winifred Grosvenor, daughter of Gawen Grosvenor of Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire,[1][2] and Dorothy Pudsey. The settlement for their marriage was dated 25 August 1620.[3][4] They married 3 days later, on 28 Auguste, at Allesley, Warwickshire.[5] They had the following children:
Thomas's father settled Hall End and other property in Warwickshire on him in 1620, in the settlement for his marriage.[9][10] In 1622 he acquired property at Polesworth, Warwickshire.[11] At his death he was of Corbin's Hall, Kingswinford, Staffordshire.[1]
In 1627 Thomas was a collector of the subsidy (a form of taxation) in Hemlingford, Warwickshire.[12]
Death and Will
Thomas was buried at Kingswinford, Staffordshire[1][2][3][4] on 1 July 1637,[13] pointing to a death month of June 1637. There is a memorial inscription for him and his father in the parish church there.[14] His Will, dated 5 June 1637, was proved on 1 June 1638.[3][4] In it he named, among others:[15]
his deceased father George
his son and heir Thomas
his other children George, Henry, Gawin, Charles and Lettice
his brother-in-law John Dawkins
his nephews and nieces Philip, Anne, Elizabeth, Susan and Mary Dawkins
his brother-in-law James Prescott
his nephews and nieces Jeffrey, George, Thomas, Katherine and Elizabeth Prescott
Thomas's widow remarried more than once.: Richardson says that her second husband was someone with the last name Hovell or Howell; and that her third husband was Henry Hurdman.[3][4] At least one source gives another husband, before her marriage to ____ Howell, his name being Cecil Warburton.[12]

According to ancestry.com as I am researching my lineage, the son of Thomas Corbin Esq. and Winifred Grosvenor is one CLEMENT CORBIN born 31 March 1626 in Dorset England and died August 1 1696 in Woodstock, Windham, Connecticut:
Douglas Richardson in "Magna Carta Ancestry" names six children of Thomas and Winifred - Clement is not among them. Those 6 children are listed in the biography section of this profile and their profiles are attached.
The Ancestry.com tree you're referring to names 15 children and is completely unsourced, so it is not considered a reliable source on WikiTree. Also, Thomas and Winifred likely lived in Warwickshire (most of their children were born there) and Staffordshire. No mention of Dorset, where Clement was born. Sorry, but if you feel Clement is should be attached as a child of Thomas, you'll need to give us a reliable source (birth record, etc.).
Verified this profile as being on a project-approved trail (from Corbin-100 to Ros-162, following "Magna Carta badged" profiles to that surety baron). The project account for the Magna Carta Project will be added as a manager later this month to meet WikiTree guidelines (see Help:Project-Managed_Profiles). Give me a holler if you have any questions. ~ Liz, Magna Carta project member
