Biography

William was born 10/23/1802 in Pennsylvania. He married Ann (surname unknown but may have been Folk from PA). 1850 William and Ann and their children were living in Lancaster, Erie, New York where William was a farmer. By 1855 William was working as a Mill Wright in Lancaster. The family moved to Sonoma county California in 1862. In 1866 William was registered to vote in Santa Rosa, California and he was listed as a wagon maker. In 1879 he was listed as a miller in the Santa Rosa voter register. William died 10/21/1886 and is buried with family members in the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery (Plot Rural MC 126).
