Biography

Amanda C. Conkin was born June 17, 1855, in "Clover Bottom" Sullivan county, Tennessee, a daughter of James Conkin and his wife, Mary. ^[1] Amanda is found on the United States census of 1860, living in Sullivan county, Tennessee, with her parents and four siblings. ^[2]

On March 5, 1873, Amanda married Jonathan Bachman White, a son of George Washington White and his wife, Catherine Bachman. Children of Amanda and Jonathan are:
