Clarrie Oliver Comber was born in Narromine, New South Wales on 17 May 1905. He was the son of Herbert Comber and Norah Organ.[1]
He was taken as a prisoner of war and transferred from Changi, Singapore to Sandakan POW Camp North Borneo, arrived 18 July 1942, where he died as a prisoner of the Japanese on 28 March 1945.[2][3]
