Biography

Joseph Collins has Irish ancestors.

Joseph was born 9 Nov 1916 in Punxsutawney, the son of Robert and Jennie Burns Collins. His mother died when he was only three years old, and Joseph was raised by his father and his stepmother, who also happened to be the daughter of his mother's older sister.

On 16 Feb 1942, in Pittsburgh, he married Florence M. Jones, also from Punxsutawney. They relocated to Ohio.

He died on 1 May 1982 in Athens, and he was buried in Zaleski, Ohio.
