Biography

Catherine (Collins) German has Irish ancestors.

Catherine was born 11 Jan 1919 in Punxsutawney, the daughter of Robert and Jennie Burns Collins. Her mother died when she was only a year old, and Catherine was raised by her father and her stepmother, who also happened to be the daughter of her mother's older sister.

Aside from a brief time living in Philadelphia, she spent the majority of her life in the Indiana, Pennsylvania, area.

She married Samuel German, and they had three daughters and a son.

Catherine died at St. Andrew's Village in Indiana on 17 Feb 1991. She was buried at St. Bernard's Cemetery.
