Biography

Lucia Colletto is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Stefano Colletto and Maria la Sala. (Lucia is often called "la Sala" in her children's records.) She was baptized on 15 Dec 1710,[1] so was born either that day or shortly before.

Lucia marries Stefano lo Cascio on 16 July 1727. Her father has died by this time, and her mother is living.

Lucia and Stefano have at least four children: Caterina (c. 1730), Leoluca (1742), Giuseppa Maria (c. 1747), and Ciro (c. 1761).

I estimate Caterina is born around 1730, twenty years before she marries.

Leoluca is born 7 September 1742 and baptized the next day. His godparents are Domenico and Giovanna Rizzotto, a married couple.[2]

I estimate Giuseppa Maria is born around 1747, 20 years before she marries.

Caterina marries Stefano Catania on 18 January 1750. Her parents are both still living.

I estimate Ciro is born around 1761, twenty years before he marries.

Lucia has died by 1762, when Stefano remarries.

Leoluca marries twice, first to Maria Rizzotto, the daughter of his godparents, in 1766. Lucia has died by this time.

Giuseppa Maria marries Stefano Nicolosi on 17 January 1767.

Leoluca remarries, to Emmanuela Todaro, on 4 February 1770.

Ciro marries Brigitta Massanobile, a widow, on 22 October 1781. Stefano is still living.

Caterina dies, reportedly at age 36 (she is at least twenty years older) on 9 August 1788. Stefano survives her.[3]

Leoluca dies at age 92 (b. 1734) on 29 December 1826.
