Sylvestre was the son of Joseph Colin and Marie Françoise Chouinard. He was born 30 Dec 1809 and was baptized the next day in St-Jean-Port-Joli. His godparents were Michel Fournier (?) and Marie Magdelaine Monet. [1]
On 18 Aug 1834, in St-Jean-Port-Joli, Sylvestre Colin adult son of Joseph Colin and Marie Chouinard married Marguerite Colin adult daughter of Joseph Colin and the late Geneviève Godin. Witnesses included Jacques Chouinard brother in law of the groom, no signatures. [2]
His wife is widowed per the 1871 Census.
