Biography
Nathaniel was born at Haverhill, Massachusetts on 14 Jan 1696. [1] His parents were Robert Clement and Deliverence Odiorne. [2]
He married Elenor Colburn in 1717 [2] at Dracut, Massachusetts. After Elenor's passing, he married Sarah Hall the widow of Hall on 4 Feb 1748.[3]
"Nathaniel Clements as a cooper, followed the trade of his father and grandfather. He owned cooper's shop in Dracut for many years. Her served the town in 1723 as fence viewer; in 1736 as Assessor; in 1737 and succeeding years as a selectman. Although he always called himself "of Dracut", his farm was partly in Pelham, NH and thus at considerable distance from the center of the town….He left no Will and there is no administration of his estate. It is probable that he had provided for his children during his lifetime. He was partially supported by his sons, Daniel and David, as shown by papers in the settlement of Daniel's estate in 1783."
