Hi Deborah,

I've added Richard Bimson Neville (Neville-3418) with his Biography and picture to my tree and noticed you have done alot of work on his descendents and your Colburn line. I've setup a merge with your Neville-3116 but want to make sure the result flows correctly and doesn't island anyone ie links my tree with yours. Richard married Kanakolu Pupu "Becky" Kanakolo'onalani they had 4 children of which 2 boys died young and 2 daughters Elizabeth Alice Neville (1829-1929) and Mary Ellen Kealiikahiliole Neville (1865-1913).

I'd like to add Mary's descendents having researched extensively over the past 12 months. I've also 3 DNA matches in Ancestry. One to a descendent of "John Francis Neville Colburn" and two from "Mary Ellen Kealiikahiliole Neville"

I don't want to impose because I'm sensitive to folk changing my direct line too so I'd always ask your permission for Colburn line but would like to continue by adding Mary Ellen Kealiikahiliole Neville (married Abraham Levi Nakea 1853-1935) and their descendents if that's ok.

If this makes sense, I hope...

Kind Regards, Simon

Simon,

Thank you for your interest in this family. These people are not in my direct line and most of the information I have has been gleaned from Ancestry sources. Please feel free to add Mary Ellen's family. That is what this site if for. Are we cousins of a sort? I am a New England Colburn/Coburn.

Debbie

Hi Deborah,

The merge worked well thank you. I think I was a bit nervous how it would work hence the wittering on. Finding my feet on wikitree. Have calmed down now...Think we meet down a branch on opposite sides so sharing descendents rather than us being cousins.

Thanks again Simon

Simon,

As Wikitree says, that makes us connected. I sometimes have a hard time navigating this site, but it is interesting to see all the connections. Good luck!

Debbie

Hi Deborah, I'm sure you'll notice - I've been going through editing my Coburn/Colburn & related profiles, and was working on one couple tonight, Abraham Blood and his wife Martha Coburn. As I was working on Martha, I noticed you had recently added her husband. I decided to add what info I had about them, and I hope I didn't step on your toes in doing so. You might get a kick out of reading the research note I put on Abraham's profile... his poor father! Anyway, you may see more edits in my Coburns as I'm working my way through adding bios & sources to them.

Cheers! Bobbie P.S. You might want to open up your family tree so we can see how we're related. To do so, you go to your own profile, on the Privacy tab change your setting to "Private with Public Biography and Family Tree".

Hi Deborah,

Welcome to WikiTree, could you please correct your year of birth. Your profile is showing up in the pre 1500's and I am sure you are not 1876 years old. Also thank you for signing the Honor Code and I hope you enjoy working on WikiTree as much as I do. Best Regards, Cheryl

Hi Deborah

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer (To add your OWN family information), one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! Glad you joined us.
