Research Notes
A possible baptism record has been found for a Jane Cleaton on 21 February 1788 in Llanllwchaearn, Montgomeryshire, Wales which is less than 9 miles from Llandinam. [5] More research is required to verify this information. If this is the same person, then her parents are Evan and Ann Cleaton.
In the 1851 Census, Jane's niece Mary Morgans and her 2 month old son Thomas Morgans [6] are living with her. It appears that Mary was not married at the time.
Mary Morgans may have been the daughter of Thomas Morgans and Margaret (Davies) Morgans, who married on 2 August 1822 in Llanidloes, Montgomeryshire, Wales. [7]

Mary (age 20), daughter of Thomas Morgans, married John Kearn on 11 March 1853 in Llanidloes, Montgomeryshire, Wales. [9]
It is thought that Thomas Morgans is the brother of Richard Morgans (husband of Jane (Cleaton) Morgans) thereby making Mary Morgans the niece of Jane (as per the 1851 Census). More research is required to verify this.
