Biography

Mary Jane was born November 21st, 1811 in Pennsylvania.

She married Samuel Wright on August 10th, 1837 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The couple had at least 5 children; Joshua C, Narcissa, Edith Ann, Elwood Giest and Leander O.

Mary Jane spent her married life raising her children and taking care of the family home while her husband farmed their land in Little Britain, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.^[1][2][3][4] After the death of her husband in 1885 Mary Jane was then seen again in 1900 still in their home of Little Britain with daughter Edith living with her.^[5]

Mary Jane passed away on September 15, 1903 at the age of 91. She was buried near her husband Samuel in the Eastland Friends Burial Ground in Little Britain.^[6]
