Biography
Thomas was born in 1866. He was the son of Richard Ching and Elizabeth Pearse. [1]He married Agnes Charlotte Jellyman in 1893 [2]Tom was initially a farmer probably in the Stoke area, then an orchardist in Chings Road, Lower Moutere. The couple returned to Stoke when they retired from the orchard. They had no children He passed away in 1948 age 80 [3] and was buried in Seaview Cemetery, Nelson, New Zealand.[4]
