Charles Louis Chauvin, son of Justin Eustache & Elise Leodile 'Elodie' Thibodeaux, was born about 13 Sep 1871 in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. [1]
At age 31, Charles married Ruth Elda Theriot 18 Feb 1903 in Montegut, Terrebonne, Louisiana, USA. There are no records of any children born of the union.[2][3]
Charles died about 4 Jun 1944. According to his obituary in The Houma Times, Charles was a member of the Louisiana State legislature during his lifetime as well as a police juror in Terrebonne Parish. He died at his Houma home after a long illness and is buried in the St. Francis de Sales church.[4]
By 1910 he had been married for 7 years, is shown to be a bookkeeper for a Sugar Factory with English as his native tongue. He lived with his wife, Elda who takes care of the home, and a servant is also shown to live in the home, but it is uncertain whether this is a boarder or their own servant.[5]
