Chesterfield Co., Va.; m. JUDAH ? . William named Judah as his =
wife in his will but leaving all of his property to his son, John M., in =
Chesterfield County.
Wording in the will suggests additional children but, if so, their names =
are unknown. Tradition in the Georgia line said William Fain married =
Judith Greathouse but no proof of this marriage has been found.
It has been proven that John M. Fain was the eldest son of =
William and Judah Fain. Jacob and Hiram Greathouse lived in Virginia prior to 1800 =and they migrated to Georgia in the late early 1800's before moving north to =Union Co., Illinois where both men died.
DAR records tell us Jacob Greathouse was a veteran of the = American=20
Revolutionary War but names of children are unknown. An old Bible in =
the possession of Jenny Thompson, a Fain descendant living in Lenoke, AR, =
says the William M. Fain, who was living in Cass County, GA, was a son of =
John and Elizabeth (Martin) Fain.
