- According to an article about Inscriptions on gravestones in North Mansfield, Connecticut in The New England Historical and Genealogical Register,Volume 022, 1868, p. 387, this little cemetery is located about a mile and a half north west from the meeting house in North Mansfield, Connecticut. The common name is Gurley Burial Ground. Almost all of the people buried here were born before 1700 and were the earliest settlers in Mansfield. There are over a dozen graves.
