The Lenoir City Cemetery is located about three quarters of a mile (1.2km) from the center of town, south of US Highway 11. Martel Road runs through the center of the cemetery.

The cemetery is laid out in three sections. Section 1 is between US Highway 11 and Martel Road. Section 2 is south of Martel Road. The Old Section is part of Section 1, on the northeast end of Section 1. The Old Section contains the oldest gravesites, including many unmarked graves of early Lenoir City settlers.
