Christopher Casey was born 1755 (If he was a child of Abner Casey & Harriet Green, then was the youngest).
(He might have been born earlier in 1740 in Roanoke, VA,
but if he is the man who died in 1840, the later date seems more realistic.)
If this Christopher was the son of Abner Casey & Harriett Green, his mother, was b abt 1705
1755 is also late enough for him to have been a son of one of the older sons of Abner and Harriett, though none of them seem to have had a Christopher.
Could we be mixing up 2 different men.

Could this be a Christopher who was born in 1740?
There was another record for a Christopher Casey who owned a plat of land in SC in 1756 on the Enoree River:
precept dtd 5 Aug 1755; 150 ac on a branch of Broad River called Innoree or COLLINS River...bounding se on the Innoree; cert'd 14 May 1756; ord. bo. 3 Mar 1767 for Eugenia VERDINE...[2]
[But this would be a contemporary of Abner, and perhaps even before Abner arrived in SC]
Where was he born? He might have been born in Spartanburg, SC (however, his Abner and family might not have moved there until 1760, if so, he was born in Roanoke Co, VA.)
He is listed in the DAR Patriot Index as:
"Casey, Christopher, b 1755 VA, d 8-2-1840 MO, m Sarah Smith, Lt. SC, PNSR (pensioned soldier)"
He entered the Revolutionary War shortly after the fall of Charleston to the British (May 1780). Christopher entered service as a Private under Colonel John Thomas and Colonel Cecil's command. Next, he served as a Lieutenant in command of a post at Calleo Harrison's Cabin for Colonel Beard. His third tour of duty was under Peter Brooks in Colonel John Thomas' regiment which was commanded by General Pickens. In this expedition he served as Lieutenant and marched to Orangeburg, where they 'routed some tories'... Still under Captain Brooks, he marched to Bacon's Ridge where General Pickens rendezvoused for the purpose of assisting General Green. Christopher Casey served in Colonel Roebuck's regiment as Lieutenant and had command of a small detachment to Augusta for salt. He also served in Captain Ford's Company of Colonel Kiljours Regiment during the siege of '96'.
