Biography
Carmela lo Cascio is born and baptized 6 January 1790 in Corleone. She is the daughter of Teodoro lo Cascio and Anna Crapa. Her godparents are her paternal uncle Maestro Leoluca and his wife, Bernarda di Frisco.[1]
Carmela appears, reportedly at age 15 (b. 1792), in the 1807 stato delle anime, a Church census, living with her sister, Antonina, 21 (b. 1786), and brother Angelo, 20 (b. 1787), afaccio S. Maria (overlooking Santa Maria) in Corleone.[2]
