Biography
Augustin Magloire Carier was born on 9 May 1743 and was baptized 12 May 1743 in Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola parish in Cap-Saint-Ignace. He was the son of Augustin Carrier and Geneviève Bernier. Godparents at his baptism were Philippe Bernier and Anne Bernier, neither sponsor signed the register..
At age 27 Augustin married Madeleine Élisabeth Vaillancourt on 19 Nov 1770 in St-Jean-Port-Joli parish. There are records for 15 children born into this marriage.
Augustin died at age 72 on 25 Sep 1811; he was buried the next day on 26 Sep in Saint-Antoine parish cemetery in Baie-du-Febvre, Yamaska.
