Wyndell Ray Cantrell, age 82 of Hackleburg, AL passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Burns Nursing Home. He was born in Hackleburg, Alabama, on January 27 , 1940 to David M. Cantrell and Rosa Lee Baker Cantrell. Wyndell was a graduate from Phil Campbell High School, class of 1958.He worked as a truck driver for 30 years. He was a member of MT. Olive Baptist Church, in Hodges, Alabama. Visitation will be on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 12-1 P.M. at the MT. Olive Baptist Church. The service will follow at 1 P.M. with Bro Tony Wood officiating. The interment will be at Old Line Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his, parents, David and Rosa Lee Cantrell, siblings, Polly Barnwell, Ann Fleming; brother-in-law, Ed Fleming.. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Curtis Cantrell, Cyle Cantrell (Stephanie), Crystal Soderlund ( Bill); grandchildren, Alyssa, Samantha, Nicholas, Maximillian, Ayden, Drake, Brianna, Noelle; brother, Henry W. Cantrell (Gail); sister, Kay Scott (Doyle); brother-in-law, Johnny Barnwell; former spouse and dear friend, Sandy Illgen; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends.
