MAGEE - Myrna B. Ingram, 88, a housewife, died of heart failure Monday at Magee General Hospital.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home with burial in Calvary Presbyterian Church in Smith County. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Mrs. Ingram was a Smith County native. She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ingram had lived at Hillcrest Health Facility, where her son, Jimmy Ingram of Mize, said she kept busy making quilts and crafts. She also served on the residence council. "She was happy, helpful and always eager to help someone," he said. Her son said Mrs. Ingram was once a Sunday school teacher and stressed keeping faith in the Lord throughout life.

Survivors include: son, Jimmy Ingram of Mize; brothers, Baxter Butler of Jackson and Woodrow Butler of Milton, Fla.; sisters, Helen Roberts of Jackson and Dorothy Ingram of Napa, Calif.; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
