Hello Jim. I want to first say I ran a Gedmatch comparison with you and it says we are 6.7 generations back related but then when I did the how are we related it says way back further than that which shouldnt have showed up In gedmatch if it was from that far back. My 19th grandmother. I am trying to find my Warren family because I just learned my father was a Warren and I cant get any further than his Grandfather and I reach a dead end. This site claims we are related through my mothers lineage which may be true but Im thinking the 6.7 generation gap may be coming from my fathers side. Any thoughts
Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge. Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles.
It looks like the project on Scots-Irish and Ulster-Scots under the United Kingdom Project as previously suggested would be a good fit with the tag you entered. You will need to amend or add A tag to reflect project title to get the information feed.
A couple of points
"We cite sources. Without sources we can't objectively resolve conflicting information."
Locations for pre1700 profiles will differ from modern day locations. Location data should always match the time frame in the profile.
Incorrect location data can limit finding sources

Hi Jim ,and welcome to WikiTree! You tagged your interests in Ireland, I wanted to let you know we have a lively project that focuses on Irish family here called the Irish Roots Project It would be a great place for you to get involved once you have settled into WikiTree.
I wanted to suggest that you edit your tag(s) to show any surnames you are researching. When you list a surname, location or historical event in your tags, you can then click them and see a list of other WikiTree genealogists who are also researching those names, locations, etc.
You'll also get notifications in your daily & weekly emails when there is activity relevant to your tags.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
You'll get an email from us that has helpful links to get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any other genealogy site out there.
When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share?
