Hello. I wanted to share what I stumbled upon. I was looking up the actor, Lester "Smiley Burnette" Burnett. I have Burnettes around my family tree in Northeastern South Carolina and Southeastern North Carolina. Well, apparently, they came from Virginia. One brother went South, one went to Kentucky. You can find the whole line, back to circa 1680 Virginia here- Ancestry.com
