Biography

Maud (Brus) de Brus Countess of Ross is a member of Clan Bruce.

Maud was the daughter of Robert Bruce and Marjory Carrick^[1]

ALTERNATE DATES: 1282-1323. Born about 1282 in Kirkoswald, Carrick, Ayrshire, Scotland. Reportedly buried in the Abbey at Fearn, Ross-shire, Scotland.

Matilda or Maud married Hugh 4th Earl of Ross, as his first spouse in 1308.^[2] Their marriage produced the following issue:^[3]

• William, who succeeded his father in 1323.
• John, who died 27 May 1364.
• Marjory, who married Malise, Earl of Strathearn, Caithness, and Orkney, as his second wife.
