Ezera "Tell" Estelle Brown was born on 13 Jan 1866 in Wilkes, Georgia, United States. His parents were Marshall M. Brown (1845 - 1898) and Savannah P. (Samuel) Brown (~1846 - >1920), and he was the oldest of their 8 children. My grandmother, Lillie Mutimer, added his date of birth to her copy of the family Bible birth page. She listed his year of birth as 1869. His death certificate says his year of birth is 1866, and since he was listed as 3 years old in the 1870 census, I believe the year 1866 is correct.
Trees on other sites have another daughter who died young, but there doesn't seem to be a source for her anywhere. It seems odd that there wasn't a grave for her. Her older sister, Lucy, died in 1890, and was buried with a monument.
Nannie Brown (1904-1904)
In 1900, 33 year old Tell was living in Sybert, Lincoln, Georgia with his wife and children. He was a farmer who owned his farm and owed a mortgage.

He was a farmer and his son, Leonard was a farm laborer with 2 hired hands living in the home. Hattie's mother, Nannie, was also living in the house.[5]
In 1920, 53 year old Ezera was living in Sybert, Lincoln, Georgia with his wife.
His daughters had married and moved on, but his son had brought his wife home. Leonard and his wife Celeste were living in the home, as well as Hattie's mother Nannie. Ezera was still a farmer, but Leonard was a clerk for the railroad.[6]
In 1930, 65 year old Ezera was living in Richmond County, Georgia with his wife and mother in law. They were no longer living on a farm, and they rented their home for $25 a month. They did not have a radio set. Ezera worked a a dairy man at a local dairy.[7]

He was buried in the Fishing Creek Cemetery in Lincoln, Georgia.[8]
